Clean reinstall

If a normal in-app update or replacing the app did not fix generation, remove the old app bundle from Applications first. This ensures the new helper starts cleanly.

This only removes the app

Do not delete your stems, Ableton projects, or Plan2Live folders. Moving Plan2Live.app to the Trash removes the old application bundle, not your music files.

Steps

  1. 1Quit Plan2Live completely.
  2. 2Open Applications in Finder.
  3. 3Move Plan2Live.app to the Trash.
  4. 4Download the latest build for your Mac below.
  5. 5Open the DMG and drag Plan2Live.app into Applications.
  6. 6Open Plan2Live from Applications.

If macOS says it is in use

Restart your Mac, then repeat the steps above before opening the new DMG. Restarting clears any old Plan2Live background helper that may still be running.
